Cuprocel
RPET has never looked so good. Discovered by Gama Recycle in 2020, Cuprocel fiber has given polyester fiber a new meaning. After years of research, Cuprocel, made from recycled plastic bottles, is poised to take its place in the textile literature in the coming days.
When you touch the fabrics made from Cuprocel fibers, you would never guess that they were once made from fibers produced from plastic bottles. The most important feature of Cuprocel fabrics is their softness like a viscose or polyamide fabric. With its slippery surface structure, it has an extremely draping feature. Although it does not contain elastane, its ability to stretch like elastane and its 99% recyclability are also among its advantages compared to other fabrics.
On the other hand, during the dyeing stage, no chemical processing is required and it has the ability to keep cool with its own cold feel, especially in the summer months. Additionally, its ability to rapidly dry by spreading the moisture it takes in over a larger surface area is a sign that it can be used in many areas of textiles.
